Follow the Chuo Expressway towards Tokyo, which will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Tokyo, take the exit for the Shinjuku area and follow signs for Ueno. Use local roads to navigate to Ueno Park where the museum is located. There is parking available at Ueno Park, but be aware that parking fees may apply. Prepare for a short walk from the parking area to the museum entrance.

For those using public transportation, start by taking the JR Chuo Line train from Kai Station to Tokyo Station. This journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and head towards Ueno Station. This leg of the trip takes approximately 10 minutes. After arriving at Ueno Station, take the park exit and follow the signs towards Ueno Park. The Tokyo National Museum Heiseikan is located within the park.
