Car
From Kai, take Route 20 towards Kofu. Continue on Route 20 until you reach the Kanetsu Expressway. Merge onto the expressway towards Tokyo. After approximately 90 km, take the exit for Ueno. Follow signs for Ueno Park and the Tokyo National Museum. The museum is located at 13-9 Uenokoen, Taito City, Tokyo 110-8712. Parking is available nearby, but expect to pay around 500-1000 yen depending on the duration.

Begin at Kai City Station and take the JR Chuo Line towards Tokyo. Transfer at Shinjuku Station to the JR Yamanote Line and head towards Ueno Station. Once you arrive at Ueno Station, take the Park Exit. The Tokyo National Museum - Hyokeikan is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Follow the signs leading to Ueno Park, and the museum will be located within the park.

Start at Kai City and take a local bus to Kofu Station. From Kofu Station, board the Express Bus to Ueno Station.
