Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Ueno Park, exit the park towards the Ueno Station. Walk towards the main road (Ueno Park Exit). Once you reach the main road, turn right and walk straight for about 10-15 minutes. You will see the entrance to Ameyoko Shopping District on your left, marked by colorful signs and bustling crowds.

  • Subway

    From Ueno Station, take the JR Yamanote Line or the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line towards Tokyo or Shinagawa. Get off at Okachimachi Station (just one stop away). Exit from the Electric Town Exit and walk straight for about 5 minutes. Ameyoko Shopping District will be on your right side.

  • Bus

    If you are near the Ueno Station area, check for local buses heading towards Okachimachi. Board the bus and pay the fare (typically around 210 yen). Get off at the Okachimachi stop, which is very close to Ameyoko. From there, it’s a short walk of about 5 minutes to the shopping district.
