Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    From Hitachi Station, take the JR Joban Line towards Ueno. You will need to transfer at either Mito Station or Ueno Station depending on your route. If you transfer at Ueno, board the Tobu Skytree Line towards Minami-Senju. Get off at Nishiarai Station. From there, it is approximately a 20-minute walk to Nishiarai Daishi. Head northeast on Nishiarai Street, then turn left onto 1 Chome-15-1 Nishiarai. Follow the signs to the temple.

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from Hitachi City and take the Route 6 (also known as the Joban Expressway) southbound. Follow the signs for the Tokyo area. Once you reach Adachi City, exit at the Nishiarai exit. Follow the local roads to 1 Chome-15-1 Nishiarai. There is parking available near the temple; however, be prepared for a small parking fee, usually around 500 yen.
