Car
If you are driving to Yanagimori Shrine from central Hitachi, head south on Route 6 towards Mito. Continue on Route 6 for approximately 80 km (about 1 hour and 30 minutes). Once you reach Tokyo, follow signs for Chiyoda City. Navigate to 2 Chome-25-1 Kanda Sudacho. There is limited street parking available, so be sure to check for parking signs. Note that parking may incur fees depending on where you park.

Public Transportation (Train)
To reach Yanagimori Shrine by public transportation, start at Hitachi Station. Take the JR Joban Line towards Ueno. Transfer at Ueno Station to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line towards Asakusa. Get off at Kanda Station (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes total travel time). From Kanda Station, take Exit 2 and walk for about 10 minutes to reach Yanagimori Shrine at 2 Chome-25-1 Kanda Sudacho. Make sure to check train schedules for any potential delays.

Public Transportation (Bus)
Another option is to take a bus from Hitachi to Tokyo. Board a highway bus at Hitachi Station bound for Tokyo Station. The journey takes about 2 hours. Upon arrival at Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and get off at Kanda Station. From Kanda Station, it’s a 10-minute walk to Yanagimori Shrine at 2 Chome-25-1 Kanda Sudacho. Keep in mind that bus tickets will cost around 2,000 JPY one way.
