Car
If you are driving from Sapporo, take the Hokkaido Expressway (道央自動車道) and head towards Noboribetsu. The journey is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Exit the expressway at Noboribetsu IC (登別IC) and follow Route 2 towards Noboribetsu Onsen. Once you reach the town, look for signs directing you to Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley. The parking area is available near the entrance.

Train and Bus
Traveling via public transportation is also a great option. From Sapporo Station, take the Limited Express train to Noboribetsu Station (about 1.5 hours). Once you arrive at Noboribetsu Station, you can catch the local bus (Noboribetsu Onsen Line) that goes directly to Noboribetsu Onsen. The bus ride takes around 25 minutes. After arriving at Noboribetsu Onsen, follow the signs for a short walk to the entrance of Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley. Note that the bus fare from Noboribetsu Station to Noboribetsu Onsen is approximately 500 JPY.

If you prefer a more convenient option, taking a taxi from Noboribetsu Station to Noboribetsu Jigokudani Valley is available. The taxi ride takes about 20 minutes and costs around 3000 JPY. This option is more comfortable, especially if traveling with luggage.
