Car
From Kai, take Route 20 heading south towards Kofu and continue for about 20 km until you reach the junction for Route 134. Merge onto Route 134 and follow the signs for Yokosuka. After approximately 50 km, you will arrive in Yokosuka. Look for parking near the Sarushima Ferry Terminal, as there is limited parking available. Parking fees may apply, usually around ¥500 for a day. Once parked, walk to the ferry terminal and purchase a ticket for the Sarushima Island ferry, which operates regularly but check the schedule as it may vary. The ferry ride takes about 10-15 minutes.

Public Transportation
From Kai Station, take the JR Chuo Line towards Tokyo. Transfer at Otsuki Station to the JR Chuo Line (Rapid) towards Shinjuku. At Shinjuku Station, transfer to the JR Yokosuka Line towards Kurihama. Get off at Yokosuka Station. From Yokosuka Station, follow the signs to the Sarushima Ferry Terminal, which is about a 10-minute walk. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Sarushima Island. The ferry ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Make sure to check the ferry schedule for the last return trip to Yokosuka.
