Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from central Kai. Head south on Route 139 towards Kofu. Continue on Route 139 for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 413. Turn left onto Route 413 and follow the signs for Yokohama. After about 5 kilometers, take the exit towards Route 134. Continue on Route 134 until you reach the city of Yokohama. From Yokohama, you will need to take Route 16 towards Kanagawa. Follow the signs to Sarushima Beach. You may need to park in designated areas near the beach, which may incur parking fees of around 500-1000 JPY depending on the duration of your stay.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start at the nearest train station in Kai, which is Kofu Station. Take the JR Chuo Line from Kofu Station towards Tokyo. Get off at Yokohama Station (the journey takes about 90 minutes). From Yokohama Station, transfer to the Minatomirai Line and take the train to Motomachi-Chukagai Station. From there, take a bus or taxi to the ferry terminal at Yokohama Pier. The ferry to Sarushima Beach is typically available, and the round-trip fare is approximately 1,500 JPY. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes.
