Car
If you are driving to Gango-ji Temple in Nara, start by navigating to the Nara Interchange on the Nishi-Meihan Expressway. From the interchange, take Route 369 towards Nara city center. Follow the signs for 'Nara Park' and 'Nara City.' Once you reach the city center, look for Chuincho Street. Gango-ji is located at 〒630-8392 Nara, Chuincho, 11. There is limited parking available nearby, so be prepared to park in designated areas and walk to the temple.
Train
To reach Gango-ji Temple using public transportation, take the Kintetsu Nara Line from Osaka or Kyoto to Kintetsu Nara Station. Once you arrive at Kintetsu Nara Station, exit the station and head east towards Nara Park. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Chuincho Street. Turn left onto Chuincho Street, and Gango-ji Temple will be on your right, approximately a 15-minute walk from the station.
Bus
If you prefer to take a bus, you can catch a Nara Kotsu bus from Nara Station. Board a bus heading towards 'Gango-ji' or 'Nara Park.' After about 10-15 minutes, get off at the Gango-ji stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the temple, which is located at 〒630-8392 Nara, Chuincho, 11.
