Car
From Kyoto, take the Meishin Expressway (名神高速道路) towards Nara. Follow the signs for Nara and exit at the Nara Interchange. After exiting, merge onto Route 24. Continue on Route 24 until you reach Nara City. Once in Nara, follow signs to the city center. Turn onto Inyocho Street where the Naramachi Karakuri Toy Museum is located at 7 Inyocho. There is parking available nearby.

From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Nara Station (approximately 45 minutes). Once you arrive at Nara Station, exit the station and head south towards the main street.
