You will need to ride the train to Horyu-ji Station, which takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Horyu-ji Station, exit the station and head toward the main road. From there, you can either walk about 15 minutes to Horyu-ji or catch a local bus (which may cost around 200 yen) that goes directly to the temple.
