By Train

If you are traveling by train, the closest station to Sakai Plaza of Rikyu and Akiko is Sakai Station, which is serviced by the Nankai Main Line and the JR Hanwa Line. From Osaka Station, take the JR Hanwa Line to Sakai Station (approximately 30 minutes). Once you arrive at Sakai Station, exit the station and find the West Exit. From there, you can either take a bus or walk. If walking, it's about a 20-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take bus number 72 or 73 from Sakai Station West Exit towards Sakai Plaza (approximately 10 minutes). The bus fare is around 210 yen. Get off at the Sakai Plaza stop, and you will find the museum just a short walk away.
By Car

If you are driving, navigate to Sakai Plaza of Rikyu and Akiko at 2 Chome-1-1 Shukuinchonishi, Sakai Ward, Sakai, Osaka 590-0958. From Osaka city center, take the Hanshin Expressway Route 15 and follow signs for Sakai. The museum has a parking lot available for visitors, but note that it may incur a parking fee of around 500 yen for a few hours. Once parked, the museum is within a short walking distance.
By Bus

For those preferring to use the bus, you can board a highway bus from Kyoto or Kobe directly to Sakai. Look for buses heading to Sakai Station or Sakai Plaza. Upon arrival at Sakai Station, you can follow the instructions above for either walking or taking a local bus to the museum.
