From Kyoto city center, take the Meishin Expressway towards Otsu. Exit at Otsu IC and continue on Route 1 for approximately 5 km. Follow signs for Sakamoto and turn left onto Prefectural Route 3. After about 2 km, turn right onto Sakamoto 5 Chome. The Former Chikurin-in Temple will be on your left at 5 Chome-2-13 Sakamoto.

From Kyoto Station, take the JR Kosei Line towards Otsu. Get off at Sakamoto Station, which is approximately a 20-minute ride. Once you exit the station, head east on Sakamoto 5 Chome street. Walk for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at the Former Chikurin-in Temple located at 5 Chome-2-13 Sakamoto.
