If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Kyoto. Take the Shijo Avenue and head west until you reach the intersection with Karasuma Street. Turn right onto Karasuma Street and continue for about 1.5 km. You will see signs indicating the way to Honnō-ji Temple. The temple is located at 522 Shimohonnojimaecho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto. There is limited parking available nearby, so be prepared to find street parking or use a paid parking lot in the vicinity.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start at Kyoto Station. Take the Karasuma Line subway towards Kokusaikaikan and get off at Karasuma Oike Station. From there, transfer to the Tozai Line subway and head towards Uzumasa Tenjingawa. Get off at the next stop, which is Nijojo-mae Station. Exit the station and walk east along the main road for about 10 minutes until you reach Honnō-ji Temple at 522 Shimohonnojimaecho. Be sure to check the subway schedules and fares; a one-way ticket costs around 260 yen.

You can also take a bus from Kyoto Station. Board the City Bus Number 101 or 205 and get off at the 'Karasuma Oike' stop. From there, it's about a 5-minute walk to Honnō-ji Temple. Follow the signs towards Nakagyo Ward and you will arrive at the temple's entrance. The bus fare will be approximately 230 yen.
