If you are traveling by car, start from central Kyoto and take the Ryozenji Road (Kyoto Prefectural Route 38) heading northwest. Follow the signs for Arashiyama and then turn onto the Route 162 towards Togetsukyo Bridge. Continue past the bridge and keep following the signs for Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple. The temple is located at 2-5 Sagatoriimoto Fukatanicho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto. There is a parking lot available near the temple, which may incur a small fee (approximately 500 yen).

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin your journey at Kyoto Station. Take the JR San-in Line towards Sonobe and get off at Arashiyama Station. From there, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus #28 heading towards Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. Disembark at the 'Otagi Nenbutsuji' bus stop. The temple is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Please note that the bus fare is approximately 230 yen one way.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in central Kyoto. Take the scenic route along the Hozu River towards Arashiyama, then follow the signs to Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple.
