Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Kyoto city center. Take the Meishin Expressway and head towards Takatsuki. After about 30 minutes, take the Takatsuki exit and follow the signs for Route 171. Continue on Route 171 for approximately 15 minutes until you reach a sign for Settsukyo Gorge. Turn onto the road leading to the gorge, where you can find parking areas available nearby. Note that parking may incur a fee, usually around 500 yen.

Train and Walk
For those using public transportation, take the Hankyu Kyoto Line from Kyoto Station to Takatsuki Station, which takes around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Takatsuki Station, exit the station and take a local bus towards Hara. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Settsukyo' bus stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk down the path that leads directly to Settsukyo Gorge. Be prepared for some beautiful scenery along the way!
