If you are traveling by car, you can take the Meishin Expressway and exit at the Kyoto-minami Interchange. From there, follow the signs for Route 1 towards Kyoto City. After approximately 15 minutes, merge onto Route 162 and continue until you reach the Shincho area in Shimogyo Ward. The Shijo-kobashi Bridge is located on Shijo Street, a short drive from the intersection with Route 162. There is limited street parking available, so be prepared to look for a nearby parking lot if necessary. Expect to pay around 300-500 yen per hour for parking.

Public Transportation
To reach Shijo-kobashi Bridge using public transportation, start by taking the JR Nara Line or the JR Kyoto Line to Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Line of the Kyoto Subway and ride towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Shijo Station. Once you exit the station, head east along Shijo Street for about 10 minutes. The bridge is located at the intersection with the Kamo River. The subway fare from Kyoto Station to Shijo Station is approximately 210 yen. Be sure to check the subway schedule and plan your trip accordingly.
