Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    If you are in Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line (green line) towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Shijo Station (3 stops, approximately 8 minutes). From Shijo Station, take Exit 1. Once you exit, turn right and walk along Shijo Street until you reach the intersection with Kawaramachi Street. Turn left onto Kawaramachi Street and walk straight for about 5 minutes. You will see the entrance to Shinkyogoku Shopping Street on your right.

    If you are near the Gion area, head northwest along Shijo Avenue. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Kawaramachi Street. Turn right onto Kawaramachi Street, and as you walk, you will find the entrance to Shinkyogoku Shopping Street on your left, just a short walk away.

    From Kyoto Station, take Bus No. 205 or 17 towards Gion. Get off at Shijo Kawaramachi bus stop (approximately 15 minutes).
