To reach Momiji Tunnel by car, start from the center of Fujikawaguchiko. Drive west on Route 137 (Fujiyoshida Road) for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for the sign for Ken-do 21 (県道21号) and turn right. Continue on Ken-do 21 for about 3 kilometers until you see Momiji Tunnel on your left. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

To access Momiji Tunnel via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Fujikawaguchiko Station. Board the Fujikyu Bus bound for Oishi Park (大石公園行き). The ride takes about 25 minutes. Get off at the Oishi Park stop. From there, it's a 15-minute walk to Momiji Tunnel. Follow the signs towards Ken-do 21 (県道21号) and head west until you reach the tunnel. Ensure you have sufficient change for the bus fare, which is typically around 600 yen.

If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from a shop in Fujikawaguchiko. From the center of town, take Route 137 heading west for about 5 kilometers. After reaching Ken-do 21 (県道21号), turn right and continue cycling for about 3 kilometers until you arrive at Momiji Tunnel. This route is scenic and allows you to enjoy the views of Mount Fuji along the way, but be prepared for some uphill sections.
