Getting There

Subway
Start at Nagoya Station, which is a major hub in the city. From there, take the Higashiyama Line (the yellow line) towards Fujigaoka. After 4 stops, get off at Sakae Station. Once at Sakae Station, transfer to the Meijo Line (the purple line) and take the train towards Kanayama. Get off at the next stop, which is Kamimaezu Station. Take Exit 1 from Kamimaezu Station. After exiting, walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will see the Tokugawa Art Museum on your right at 1017 Tokugawacho, Higashi Ward.

From Nagoya Station, head to the bus terminal located just outside the main station. Look for buses heading towards the Tokugawaen or Tokugawa Art Museum. Take the bus that has 'Tokugawaen' on its route. The journey will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the Tokugawaen bus stop. From there, the Tokugawa Art Museum is a short 5-minute walk. Head northwest on Tokugawacho Street, and you will reach the museum entrance.
