Walking
If you are starting from Nara Station, exit the station and walk straight towards the main road, Sanjo-dori. Turn right and continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the Naramachi area, a historical district filled with traditional buildings. Follow the signs to Heijo Palace Site, which is located to the north of Naramachi. Once you arrive at the Heijo Palace Site, the Nara Palace Site Museum will be on your left. From Nara Station, take the Nara Kotsu bus (number 70 or 72) towards the Heijo Palace Site. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Heijo Palace Site' bus stop.
