Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from central Nikko, take Route 119 south towards Utsunomiya. After approximately 20 kilometers, merge onto Route 121 towards Maebashi. Continue on Route 121 for about 40 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Lake Onuma. The lake is located in Fujimimachi Akagisan in Maebashi, Gunma. Parking is available near the lake, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Lake Onuma via public transportation, start at Nikko Station. Take the JR Nikko Line train to Utsunomiya Station (approximately 45 minutes). From Utsunomiya Station, transfer to the JR Takasaki Line and head towards Takasaki Station (about 30 minutes). At Takasaki Station, transfer to the JR Ryōmō Line towards Maebashi.
