If you are driving, head towards the Sannai area in Nikko. From the center of Nikko, follow the signs for the Nikko National Park. Once you reach the Sannai area, look for parking along Sannai Street. After parking, walk towards 2307 Sannai, where the Niōmon Gate is located. The gate is approximately a 5-minute walk from the nearest parking area.
Public Transportation
To reach the Niōmon Gate via public transport, take the Nikko City Bus from Nikko Station. Board the bus heading towards 'Toshogu Shrine' and get off at the 'Toshogu Shrine' stop. This ride typically takes around 10-15 minutes. Once you disembark, walk towards the entrance of the Toshogu Shrine complex, and you will see the Niōmon Gate just ahead. It is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
