From central Tokyo, take the Tohoku Expressway (E4) towards Utsunomiya. After about 90 minutes, take the exit for Nikko (Nikko IC). Follow the signs to Nikko City, which should take approximately 30 minutes. Once in Nikko, look for signs directing you to the Kanaya Hotel History Museum located at 1-25 Honcho. There is parking available nearby, but please note that there may be a parking fee.

From Tokyo Station, take the Tohoku Shinkansen (bullet train) to Utsunomiya Station, which takes about 50 minutes. From Utsunomiya, transfer to the JR Nikko Line and take the train to Nikko Station (approximately 45 minutes). Upon arriving at Nikko Station, exit the station and take a taxi to Kanaya Hotel History Museum, which is about a 10-minute drive away. Alternatively, you can walk; it's around a 30-minute walk.
