If you are traveling by car, start from Tokyo and take the Tōmei Expressway (E1) towards Nagoya. Exit at the Utsunomiya interchange and follow signs for Route 4 towards Nikko. Continue on Route 4 until you reach Nikko. In Nikko, follow local signs to the Toshogu Shrine area. The Toshogu Hōmotsukan Museum is located at 2301 Sannai, which is near the Toshogu Shrine. Parking is available nearby.

Train
For train travel, take the Tōhoku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Utsunomiya Station. From Utsunomiya, transfer to the Nikko Line and take a train to Tobu Nikko Station. Upon arrival at Tobu Nikko Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal. Board the bus bound for Toshogu Shrine (the bus ride takes about 10 minutes). Get off at the Toshogu Shrine stop. The Toshogu Hōmotsukan Museum is a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer to travel by bus, you can take a highway bus from Shinjuku Station in Tokyo directly to Nikko. The journey takes about 2.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Nikko bus terminal, walk towards the Toshogu Shrine area. The Toshogu Hōmotsukan Museum is located at 2301 Sannai, a short walk from the terminal.
