    If you're driving, start from central Settsu and head towards the nearest major road, Route 170 (also known as the National Route 170). Follow Route 170 northbound towards Kyoto. After approximately 20 km, you will enter Kyoto city. Continue on Route 170 until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Take a left onto Route 1 (Karasuma-dori) and then continue for about 2 km. Turn right onto Nishideracho street, and Chudoji will be on your left at 25 Chudoji Nishideracho. Parking is available nearby but may incur a fee, typically around ¥500-¥1000 for a few hours.

    To reach Chudoji by public transport, start by taking the Hankyu Takarazuka Line from Settsu to Umeda Station in Osaka. Transfer to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and take a train towards Nakamozu. Get off at Shijo Station. From Shijo Station, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus (Line 205) and take the bus towards Kyoto Station. Get off at the Chudoji bus stop, which is a short walk from the temple. The entire journey will take approximately 1.5 hours and cost around ¥800.
