Getting There

  • Train

    From Shinjuku Station, take the JR Chuo Line (Rapid) towards Tokyo Station. After 7 stops, get off at Akihabara Station. Transfer to the Hibiya Line and take the train towards Naka-Meguro. Get off at Iriya Station, which is 3 stops away. From Iriya Station, take Exit 2 and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Honnenji at 3 Chome-25-3 Nishiasakusa.

  • Subway

    From Tokyo Station, take the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and ride it to Ginza Station. Transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and head towards Asakusa Station. Get off at Asakusa Station (6 stops). From Asakusa Station, take Exit 1 and walk for about 15 minutes towards Nishiasakusa. Honnenji will be on your right at 3 Chome-25-3 Nishiasakusa.

  • Bus

    From Ueno Station, head to the bus terminal and take the Toei Bus (Route 42) towards Taito Ward Office. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Nishiasakusa 3-chome stop. Walk straight for about 5 minutes, and you will find Honnenji at 3 Chome-25-3 Nishiasakusa.
