If you are traveling by car from the center of Zao Onsen, start by heading south on the main road. Follow Route 286 until you reach the intersection with Route 457. Turn left onto Route 457 and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Zao Ropeway Zao Sanroku Station. The parking lot is located just before the station entrance. Please note that there may be a parking fee, which can vary depending on the season.

Public Transportation - Bus
From Zao Onsen, you can take the Zao Onsen bus service to Zao Ropeway Zao Sanroku Station. The bus stop is located near the Zao Onsen Hotel. Buses run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The ride takes about 10-15 minutes. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance, as service may reduce in the off-peak seasons. The fare is usually around 300 yen per person.

For those who prefer to walk, you can reach Zao Ropeway Zao Sanroku Station on foot from Zao Onsen. It's about a 30-minute walk and is approximately 2.5 kilometers. Start by heading west on the main road, following the signs for Zao Ropeway. The path is well-marked, and you will encounter beautiful scenery along the way. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, especially in winter when the path may be icy.
