Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Kondele, head towards the main road (Kisumu - Kakamega Road). Walk for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the roundabout near the Kisumu International Airport entrance. This is a busy area, so be cautious while crossing the road.

  • Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)

    After reaching the roundabout, you can easily find Boda Boda riders. Negotiate a fare (approximately 100-200 KES) to KWS-Kisumu Impala Sanctuary. The ride should take around 5-10 minutes. Instruct the rider to take you to Shauri Moyo Primary School, as the sanctuary is located nearby.

  • Matatu (Shared Minibus)

    Alternatively, from the main road, you can catch a matatu heading towards Kisumu Town. Get off at the Shauri Moyo stop, which is very close to the sanctuary. The fare is about 50 KES. After disembarking, walk towards Harambee Road, and you will see signs directing you to the entrance of the sanctuary.
