From any location in Laikipia Plateau, head towards the Nanyuki town and take the A2 road towards Meru. Continue on the A2 for approximately 30 km until you reach Timau. From Timau, follow the signposts to Ngare Ndare Forest Park, which is located about 10 km from Timau. The park entrance is located at coordinates 0.1740831 latitude and 37.3342131 longitude. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some of the roads may be rough.

Start by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from your location in Laikipia Plateau to Nanyuki town. Once in Nanyuki, you can find matatus heading to Meru. Inform the driver you want to stop at Timau. Once you arrive in Timau, you can take a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to Ngare Ndare Forest Park, which is about 10 km away. The total cost for public transportation may vary, but expect to pay around 300-500 KES for the matatu and an additional 200-300 KES for the boda-boda ride.
