From the center of Vang Vieng, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops. Head west on the main road towards the Nam Song River. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path which is signposted towards Blue Lagoon 1. The lagoon is about 1.5 kilometers further along this road, and you'll see signs directing you to the entrance.

In Vang Vieng, you can easily find a tuk-tuk to Blue Lagoon 1. Head to the main street where tuk-tuks are regularly available. Simply tell the driver 'Blue Lagoon 1', and they will know the way. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes, and they usually charge around 50,000 to 100,000 LAK. Be sure to negotiate the price before you get in.
