Public Transport
Many towns around Lake Constance are accessible by train. From Konstanz main station, the city center is a short walk or bus ride away. A single bus fare within Konstanz is around €2.50. Consider a Bodensee Ticket for unlimited travel on local trains, buses, and ferries in the region. A day ticket for zones covering the entire lake costs approximately €42.
Ferry
Several ferries operate on Lake Constance. To reach Meersburg from Konstanz, take the car ferry, which runs frequently. The passenger fare is about €3, with car fares ranging from €8 to €13.90 depending on size. The crossing offers views of the Alps and Mainau Island.
Car
If driving to Lindau, be aware that parking on the island is limited. Park in P3 Karl-Bever-Platz, a short walk from Lindau Island, for €1.80 per hour from 8:00 to 20:00.
