Klibühni Chur: Intimate Performing Arts Theater

Klibühni Chur, a beloved cultural gem in the heart of Chur's Old Town, offers an intimate and engaging theater experience. Since its establishment in 1974, Klibühni (meaning 'small stage' in the local dialect) has been a vibrant hub for performing arts, showcasing a diverse range of cabaret, pantomime, and other small-scale productions. Located on Kirchgasse 14, next to the Antistitium, the theater resides in a historic building that adds to its unique atmosphere. Klibühni plays a significant role in Chur's cultural landscape, offering a platform for both established and emerging artists. The theater presents around 70 performances each year, including guest performances and its own original productions, with a focus on local talent. Klibühni also has a rich history. In the early 1970s, the location was used for small concerts. In 1975, the Klibühni-Fest was held for the first time to finance the theater work of the Klibühni, which later became today's Churer Fest. In the summer, Klibühni opens the Höfli-Beiz, offering high-quality food, wine and an exciting cultural program.
