The Pfänderbahn valley station is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from Bregenz Hafen (harbor) and a 25-30 minute walk from Bregenz train station. Follow the signs towards Pfänderbahn. The route is mostly flat and well-paved.

The final approach to the summit of Pfänder requires taking the Pfänderbahn cable car. A round-trip ticket costs €18 for adults and €9 for children (ages 6-15). Family tickets are also available. The cable car operates daily from 8 am to 7 pm, with extended hours during peak season. Check the schedule as it is closed for revisions from November 3rd to November 26th, 2025.
