Discover more about Moleturm

The Moleturm has become one of Friedrichshafen's most recognizable landmarks. Built in 2000 during the renovation of the harbor area, the tower stands 22.25 meters tall and marks the entrance to the harbor. Its design, while modern, is intended to complement the Bauhaus architecture of the nearby Zeppelin Museum. Visitors can climb the 117 steps of the steel staircase to reach the two observation platforms. These platforms offer stunning panoramic views of Lake Constance, the city of Friedrichshafen, and the distant Alps. A panorama display on the top platform helps visitors identify the Alpine peaks. The lower of the two platforms is covered, providing shelter from the elements. Many visitors attach love locks to the railing of the top platform. The Moleturm is freely accessible and open year-round. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy the scenery and take photographs. The tower is located near the harbor promenade, the Zeppelin Museum, and numerous cafes and restaurants.
