    From the Hündlebahn parking area, follow the signs towards Buchenegger Wasserfälle. The walk is approximately 50 minutes to the former parking area, then a steep 15-20 minute descent to the falls. Be aware that the path can be slippery, especially after rain.

    Take bus line 39 from Oberstaufen to the Hündlebahn. From there, follow the walking directions to the Buchenegger Wasserfälle. A single bus fare within Oberstaufen is approximately €2-3.

  • Parking

    Parking is available at the Hündlebahn. Parking costs vary, with rates around €1 for up to 3 hours, €1.50 for up to 6 hours, and €2 for a full day. Parking is often full on weekends and during holidays.

Here, the Weissach river has carved a dramatic canyon, with the water cascading down multiple tiers of Nagelfluh rock formations. The falls are located between the villages of Steibis and Buchenegg. The waterfalls drop a total of 18 meters, creating stunning turquoise pools known locally as "Gumpen".
