The bus departs regularly from Appenzell train station and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes, offering scenic views along the way. A single ticket costs around CHF 6-8.     From St. Gallen, take the A1 motorway towards Zurich, then exit at St.Gallen-Winkeln and follow the signs towards Teufen and Appenzell. From Appenzell, follow the signs for Schwägalp. The drive takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Parking is available at the Säntisbahn valley station. Parking fees vary, but expect to pay around CHF 5-10 for a day.
