Located on Theaterplatz in Chur, this performing arts venue has been a cultural hub since 1876, offering a rich program that includes plays, concerts, dance performances, and events for young audiences. The theater's history is marked by significant milestones. In 1948, Bertolt Brecht and Caspar Neher premiered Brecht's Antigone here. The theater moved to its current building on Grabenstrasse in 1959, near the Grossratsgebäude. Since 2008, it has operated independently of the political city council, ensuring artistic freedom.
