Car
From Chinteche, head south on the M5 road towards Liwonde. This is the primary route and is well-signposted. Continue on the M5 for approximately 40 kilometers. You will pass through several small towns and villages, so drive carefully. After about 40 kilometers, look for signs to Liwonde National Park. The entrance gate is located just off the main road. Follow the signs to the entrance gate, which is marked as 'Liwonde National Park Main Entrance Gate'. There is no entry fee for the park, but be prepared for possible charges for guided tours or activities within the park.

Public Transportation
From Chinteche, locate the minibus or taxi station. Look for a minibus heading towards Liwonde, which will cost around MK 1,000 to MK 3,000 per person. The ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic and stops. Inform the driver that you are going to Liwonde National Park. They will drop you off at the nearest stop. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the Liwonde National Park Main Entrance Gate. Carry some cash for local transport or any entry fees.
