To reach Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve from Majete Wildlife Reserve by car, start by exiting Majete Wildlife Reserve through the main gate. Head north on the M9 road, following the signs towards Mzuzu. Continue driving for approximately 70 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve. The road may be bumpy, so drive carefully, and watch for wildlife crossing the road. There is no entrance fee for Vwaza Marsh, but make sure your vehicle is in good condition for the journey.

If you are traveling by public transportation, you can take a minibus from the nearest town, Chikwawa, to Mzuzu. First, from Majete Wildlife Reserve, arrange for a taxi or local transport to take you to Chikwawa. Once in Chikwawa, look for a minibus heading to Mzuzu. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve, as many minibuses may not go directly to the reserve. From the junction, you may need to hire a local taxi to reach the entrance of the reserve. Be prepared to negotiate the taxi fare, which typically costs around 5000 MWK.
