If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town in Shire Valley, which is Zomba. From Zomba, take the M3 road heading south towards Blantyre. After approximately 45 km, turn left onto the M5 road towards Chikwawa. Continue on M5 for about 25 km until you reach the junction for the X6HF+34F area. Follow the signs, or use GPS coordinates (latitude: -15.0223095, longitude: 35.2228057) to navigate directly to Shire Eco Safari Camp. The camp is located approximately 5 km off the main road, so be prepared for a short drive on unpaved roads. Parking is available on-site.

To reach Shire Eco Safari Camp via public transport, start by taking a minibus from Zomba to Chikwawa. This journey will cost you around 1,500 MWK and takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. From Chikwawa bus station, you can hire a local taxi or take a motorcycle taxi (locally known as 'piki piki') to reach Shire Eco Safari Camp. The taxi ride will cost about 2,000 MWK and will take around 30 minutes. Confirm with the driver that they are familiar with the camp's location, and use GPS coordinates if necessary.
