If you are traveling by car from the center of C&O Canal National Historical Park, take the scenic drive along the C&O Canal Towpath. Head south until you reach the intersection with Route 340. Turn left onto Route 340 and continue for approximately 5 miles. Look for signs directing you to Harpers Ferry. Once you arrive in Harpers Ferry, follow the signs to the National Historical Park Visitor Center located at 171 Shoreline Dr, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425. Parking is available at the Visitor Center.

For those using public transportation, start by finding the nearest bus stop that services the area. Use the local bus service to reach the Harpers Ferry area. The MARC train also offers service to Harpers Ferry from Washington, D.C. If you take the train, disembark at the Harpers Ferry station. From the train station, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Visitor Center. Head southeast on Lower Town Rd, and then turn right onto Shoreline Dr to reach 171 Shoreline Dr.
