Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from the main entrance of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Head south on Washington Street toward the intersection with High Street. Turn left onto High Street and continue until you reach the intersection with the Bolivar Heights Road. Turn left onto Bolivar Heights Road, and follow this road. You will see signs for Lower Bolivar Heights Park. There is free parking available at the park entrance.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, take the MARC Train (Maryland Area Regional Commuter) to Harpers Ferry Station. From the station, you can either walk or take a taxi. If walking, head northeast along the train tracks until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street, then right onto High Street. Follow High Street to Bolivar Heights Road and turn left. Lower Bolivar Heights Park will be on your left. Note that taxi services may vary in availability, so it's advisable to check in advance.

• Walking

  For those already in the park and looking to walk to Lower Bolivar Heights Park, start at the visitor center. Head west on the main path leading out of the visitor center, and follow the signs directing you toward Bolivar Heights. The walk is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20-30 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
