Walking
If you're in downtown Frederick, start at the Frederick Visitor Center located at 151 S East St. Head south on S East St towards E Patrick St. Turn left on E Patrick St and walk until you reach the intersection with N Market St. Turn right onto N Market St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with W 7th St. Turn left onto W 7th St and continue walking until you reach the MARC train station at 100 S East St. From there, take the MARC train towards Washington, D.C. and disembark at the Harpers Ferry station. Once you arrive at the Harpers Ferry train station, follow the signs to the National Park entrance, which is approximately a 15-minute walk.

Public Transport (Bus)
Begin at the Frederick Transit Station located at 100 S East St. Take the TransIT bus route 40 towards the Harpers Ferry Park & Ride. The bus will take you directly to the Harpers Ferry area. Make sure to check the schedule for the times as it may vary. Once you arrive at the Harpers Ferry Park & Ride, it's a short walk to the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park entrance, which is about 0.5 miles away.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop in downtown Frederick. Start at the Frederick Visitor Center and head south on S East St towards E Patrick St. Continue straight on the bike path along the creek until you reach the intersection with W 7th St. Follow W 7th St to the MARC train station at 100 S East St. Take the bike with you on the MARC train towards Washington, D.C. and disembark at the Harpers Ferry station.
