Getting There

Bus
From Waldorf, head to the nearest bus stop. You can take the Charles County Transit (CCT) bus route that goes toward Washington, D.C. Board the CCT bus number 1 or 2, which will take you to the Brandywine Park & Ride. Once there, transfer to the Metrobus (Route A) heading towards Washington, D.C. Stay on the bus until you reach the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station. From L'Enfant Plaza, it's about a 15-minute walk to the White House Visitor Center located at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Exit the station and head north on 7th Street SW, then turn left onto Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

To use the Metro, first, head to the nearest Metro station from Waldorf. This may require taking a local bus to the nearest station (e.g., Branch Avenue Metro Station). At Branch Avenue, board the Green Line train towards Greenbelt. Transfer at Gallery Place-Chinatown to the Red Line towards Glenmont. Get off at the Metro Center station, then transfer to the Blue, Orange, or Silver Line towards Largo Town Center or New Carrollton. Get off at the Federal Triangle station, and from there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the White House Visitor Center located at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.
