From South End, walk to the nearest bus stop on Washington St. and catch the #43 bus towards Alewife. Ride the bus for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the Bunker Hill Community College stop. From there, walk towards the Bunker Hill Monument, then follow the signs to the Charlestown Navy Yard. You'll be walking about 10-15 minutes uphill to reach the entrance of the Boston National Historical Park.

Head to the nearest subway station, which is the 'Massachusetts Ave' station on the Orange Line. Take the Orange Line train towards Oak Grove. After 4 stops, get off at the 'North Station' stop.
