Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the central area of Playa del Carmen, head towards the beach along Avenida 5 Norte. Walk along this street until you reach the intersection with Avenida 10. Turn left onto Avenida 10 and continue walking south for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance of Playacar. Continue straight into Playacar until you find 5 Avenida Nte. Look for signs directing you to the Playa del Carmen Archaeological Site, which will be located at 5 Av. Nte. 10.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Playa del Carmen. Head down Avenida 5 Norte toward the beach. Once you reach the beach, turn left and ride south along the coastline until you reach the entrance of Playacar. Turn right into Playacar and cycle along the pathways until you arrive at 5 Av. Nte. 10, where the archaeological site is located.

Public Transportation
You can take a colectivo (shared van) from the main bus terminal in Playa del Carmen. Board a colectivo heading to Playacar and inform the driver that you want to go to the archaeological site. They will drop you off at the nearest point to the entrance. From there, follow the signs to 5 Av. Nte. 10, which is where the site is located.
