Walking
If you are staying in the heart of Playa del Carmen, simply head towards the beach. Once you reach the coastline, turn left (south) and walk along the beach until you see the main road (Avenida 1 Norte). From there, you can walk straight inland until you reach the bustling pedestrian street of Quinta Avenida, which runs parallel to the beach. You'll recognize it by the vibrant shops and cafes lining the street. Alternatively, if you're coming from your hotel, you can ask for directions to Avenida 1 Norte and then follow the same steps.

Public Transportation
If you're further away from the center, consider taking a colectivo (shared van) to get closer. Head to the nearest colectivo stop and take a van heading towards Playa del Carmen. Once you arrive at Playa del Carmen, get off at the stop near the main plaza (Plaza 28 de Julio). From there, walk towards the beach, and you will see the entrance to Quinta Avenida just a short distance away. Look for signs indicating the pedestrian zone.

Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle from various rental shops throughout Playa del Carmen. Once you have your bike, head towards the coast and ride along the beachfront path until you reach Avenida 1 Norte. Turn inland and follow the road until you find the entrance to Quinta Avenida. There are bike racks available along the avenue for you to securely park your bike while you explore.
