Getting There

• Public Bus

  Start your journey by heading to the Tijuana Central Bus Terminal (Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Tijuana). From most locations in Tijuana, you can take a taxi or an Uber to the bus terminal. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the 'San Diego' line, specifically looking for buses that cross the border into the United States. After crossing the border, you will arrive at the San Ysidro Transit Center in San Diego. From there, you can take the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus route 992 towards downtown San Diego, which will take you to the Santa Fe Depot. From the Santa Fe Depot, transfer to the MTS bus route 84 or 78, which will take you to Shelter Island Drive. Get off at the stop closest to Shelter Island, and you can walk to your destination at 2303 Shelter Island Dr.

  Once you're in Tijuana, you can easily arrange for a taxi or rideshare (like Uber) to take you directly to Shelter Island in San Diego. Provide the driver with the address: 2303 Shelter Island Dr, San Diego, CA 92106. This option will take you across the border, where the driver will take you through the San Ysidro Port of Entry. After crossing into the U.S., the drive to Shelter Island will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Ensure you have your passport ready for the border crossing.

  If you prefer to explore, you can walk to the Tijuana border crossing (San Ysidro). Once you cross into the U.S., you'll reach the San Ysidro Transit Center. From there, take the MTS bus route 992 towards downtown San Diego. After reaching Santa Fe Depot, transfer to bus route 84 or 78, which will lead you to Shelter Island Drive. Finally, get off at the nearest stop to Shelter Island and walk the remaining distance to 2303 Shelter Island Dr.
