Start at the center of Mackinac Island, near the Main Street area. Head east on Main Street towards the Grand Hotel. Continue walking along Main Street until you reach the Grand Hotel entrance. From there, you will see a sign for the 'Heritage Trail' to your left. Take the Heritage Trail, which is a paved path that leads you northeast. Follow this path for about 1 mile until you reach a fork. At the fork, keep left to stay on the Heritage Trail. After approximately 0.5 miles, you will encounter a steep incline. Ascend the hill, and within a short distance, you will see Friendship's Altar on your right. It's a scenic spot with beautiful views, perfect for taking photos or enjoying some quiet time.
